Ethos was formed in kathmandu in 2002 when Ajay shumsher rana and band members of ethos (kamal khatri and bipen buddhathoki) composed their first song by the name "nakkali maiya". Ethos first album "Aashma" was released in 2007.They release their first music video "nakkali maiya" from SAV music.
The song enjoyed the status of the most downloaded nepali song on the internet for quite some time and was extensively popular by the time the video was released. Directed by Pranav joshi the single burst into the Nepali music scene and took it by storm.
Receiving an amazing amount of air time by all the music channels and entering music charts.The video was rated 4th best video of the year 2007 by all the music channel of Nepal.The success of the "Aashma" can partly be gauged by the countless concert offerers the band received immediately after the release of the song and partly by its rating to date on music channels.
They too realeased their 2nd album "Prastav" on 2011 from reeyaz music.The first music video from their 2nd album was "sustari" released on 2011 directed by popular music video director suraj singh thakuri.This song become the most popular song of the year.It hited all the musical chart board in Nepal and was the number one song in every channel through out the year.It was too nominated for best vocal performance by a group and was awarded in 2011/24/09.It was too nominated for Best music video of the year and best camera man of the year on 13TH ANNUAL TUBORG IMAGE AWARD.
Same year it was to nominated in kalika FM music award and also was announced the winner,Annapurna FM music award and Bindabasani music award and many more…
